Mold fungi

Rare causes of sneezing, coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath during the winter season may include fungal allergens such as Penicillium, Alternaria, Aspergillus, Candida, and Cladosporium.

Consumption of foods containing fungal components — such as moldy cheeses, fermented dairy products, kvass, beer, champagne, smoked products, yeast-based baked goods, and pickled cabbage — may lead to skin rashes and signs of food allergy.

⚪️ Fungi multiply rapidly in areas with low sunlight, high humidity, and mild temperatures (bathrooms, basements, storage rooms, metro stations).
⚪️ The spread of fungal spores can contribute to the development of diseases that are difficult to treat and may cause complications.

✅ In Uzbekistan, sensitization to Alternaria alternata has been detected in 39.9% of the population in Tashkent, 19.4% in Fergana, and an average of 26.7% nationwide (based on XHAM data). (https://t.me/icmauz)

✅ Given Uzbekistan's climate and weather, fungal spores may be present in the air nearly year-round, as confirmed by aeromonitoring data (XHAM). (https://t.me/icmauz)

Fungal spores are commonly found in large quantities in air, water, soil, plants, flower pots, carpets, wooden items, household appliances, air conditioners, humidifiers, refrigerators, water coolers, and in high-humidity environments.
