Sorrel (Rumex), commonly found in fields and at the foot of mountains, is considered beneficial for health. In traditional medicine, it is used for various ailments — especially to improve digestion and to combat colds.
However, be cautious!
In some people, sorrel may trigger allergies:
• Sneezing, nasal congestion
• Cough, shortness of breath
• Skin rashes, itching
According to research conducted by our center, 9% of Uzbekistan’s population shows sensitivity to sorrel.
If you have a plant allergy or have experienced allergic reactions before, consult a specialist before using sorrel.
