What is an allergy to household allergens?

Household allergens are substances that typically cause allergic reactions and are commonly found in homes and apartments. These include:

  • House dust

  • Dust mites

  • Pet hair and dander

  • Mold fungi

  • Cockroach droppings

People with a sensitive immune system may develop various allergic conditions. These are most often expressed as:

  • Nasal congestion, sneezing, coughing

  • Itchy and watery eyes

  • Sometimes skin inflammation (dermatitis)

Important: Unlike other allergens, sensitivity to household allergens persists throughout the year and gradually increases. This negatively affects a person's health.
